Principle Consultant & Founder
Azizi has 17 years of experience in handling trademark registration process in Malaysia and other foreign countries. He has obtained his Law Degree from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with honors (LL.B Hons). He starts his working track by joining one of the intellectual property (IP) firms in Malaysia. He has experiences in handling consultation and registration in relation to trademarks, industrial designs, patents and copyrights.
He then further expands his working experience by joining Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (Biotechcorp), a government agency under the Ministry of Technology and Innovation. Being in Biotechcorp, he further gained experiences in the field of IP consultation particularly on the procedures, IP infringement, IP management, IP commercialization, conducting IP due diligence and also vetting/reviewing agreement such as licensing, technology transfer and partnership. He has also assisted BioNexus Status Team in Biotechcorp to evaluate BioNexus status application from biotechnology based company before it is tabled to the BioNexus Evaluating Committee.
Azizi has participated in Industry Engagement Programme conducted by Biotechcorp with numbers of research institutes and universities as a speaker representing Biotechcorp. He has also completed a booklet entitled “Trade Mark Protection in Malaysia- A Basic Guide” and a guidance paper entitled “Intellectual Property Management – A Basic Guide” during his tenure with Biotechcorp.
Azizi is a registered trademark and industrial agent with MyIPO since 2011.
